Privacy Policy

How Baselayer Technology handles information submitted through this website.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what information Baselayer Technology collects through baselayertech.com.au, why it is collected, and which third-party services process it.

It covers this website only. Information exchanged during a client engagement is governed by the agreement for that engagement.

Information you give us

The contact form is the only place this website asks you for information. It collects:

  • your name
  • your company name
  • your role or job title
  • your work email address
  • your phone number
  • your approximate team size
  • the area of interest you select
  • whatever you choose to write in the message field

Only your name and work email address are required. Every other field is optional, and the form works without them.

We use these details to respond to your enquiry and to discuss the requirement with you. We do not sell them, and we do not add you to a marketing list on the basis of a website enquiry.

Where your enquiry is sent

When you submit the form, the details you entered are sent to:

  • Resend, which delivers the enquiry to Baselayer as an email. Resend is a third-party email delivery provider and processes the contents of that email.
  • ClickUp, where the enquiry is created as a task in Baselayer's internal list so it can be tracked and actioned. ClickUp is a third-party work management platform.

Both services are operated by their own providers under their own terms and privacy policies, and both may process or store data outside Australia.

Website analytics

This website loads two third-party analytics services on every page:

  • Google Ads (via the Google tag), which measures advertising performance and records when a contact form submission occurs. It does not receive the contents of the form.
  • Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with pages — such as clicks, scrolling and navigation — to help improve the site.

These services set their own cookies or identifiers and may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and referring page. They are controlled by Google and Microsoft respectively, under their own privacy policies.

These scripts load on every page visit. Blocking cookies or using private browsing does not stop them loading — it limits what they can store and how well they can recognise a returning visitor. An ad or tracker blocker, or a browser that blocks these domains, does prevent them loading.

Technical information

Our hosting provider records standard request information, including IP address, in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

The contact form can also run two abuse checks. These are not currently switched on; if we enable them, each stores only a short pseudonymous hashed value rather than the information it is derived from. Rate limiting derives its value from your IP address. Duplicate detection derives its value from your email address, the area of interest you selected and your message, so that submitting the same enquiry twice does not create two records.

Neither your IP address nor the contents of your enquiry are stored directly by these checks, and the hashed values they do store are discarded within minutes.

Access, correction and removal

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email the address below and tell us what you would like done. If you contacted us through the form, mentioning the email address you used will help us find the right record.

We will also remove your details on request if you decide you no longer want us to hold your enquiry.

Changes to this policy

If what this website collects or how it is processed changes, this page will be updated to reflect it.
